The 100 kW version of the eMas 7 has recently been launched in Singapore, and Proton can also consider introducing it in the Nepalese market.
The 100 kW segment is the most popular in Nepal, with almost all manufacturers—from BYD to MG, Tata Motors, and Dongfeng—offering EVs in this power range. A locally available 100 kW variant could attract a wider range of buyers with a more affordable price point.
Currently, the eMas 7 in Nepal comes with a front-mounted electric motor generating 160 kW (218 PS) of power and 320 Nm of torque, starting at Rs 46.99 Lakh.
The newly introduced 100 kW Edition features a detuned front motor, reducing output from 218 PS (160 kW) to 136 PS (100 kW). While detailed specifications are yet to be released, it is expected that the torque will remain at 320 Nm.
Battery options are likely unchanged, with the Aegis short blade LFP packs of 49.52 kWh for the Prime variant and 60.22 kWh for the Premium variant. Driving ranges are anticipated to remain 345 km for the Prime and 410 km for the Premium, while the reduced motor output will make the vehicle even more affordable for buyers.
